La Plata County, CO
Excavation & Site Work
Driveways, pads, drainage, and trenching, the part that has to be right first.

Most of what goes wrong with a building in this county traces back to water and ground that was never handled properly. A driveway that channels runoff into the crawlspace. A pad that was not compacted. A trench backfilled with the wrong material.
Aaron runs the machine himself, which is worth more than it sounds. The operator who is going to build on the pad grades it differently than the operator who leaves after the dirt is moved.

Excavation & Site Work near you
Details, drive times, and local specifics for each community we cover.
Do you call in utility locates?
Always, before a bucket touches dirt. Colorado 811 is on us, not you.
How do you price dirt work?
Defined jobs get a fixed bid. Where the ground could surprise us (rock, water table, unknown fill), you get a clear unit rate with a not-to-exceed, so it is never an open checkbook.
Who actually shows up to do the work?
Aaron, and his crew. He is not a salesman who hands your project to whoever is available. He frames, welds, runs the excavator, and sets tile himself. That is the whole reason one crew can carry a project start to finish.
How do estimates work?
Free, and in writing. Smaller jobs we can often price from photos and a phone call. Anything larger gets an on-site look. You can pick the time yourself on the calendar on this site.
What areas do you cover?
Vallecito and Bayfield are home base, and we work throughout La Plata County including Durango, Ignacio, Gem Village, and Forest Lakes. If you are a little outside that, ask anyway.
